Full Stack .Net Developer

We help households get the most impactful energy and carbon saving measures for their budgets and circumstances. We’re building an innovative technology platform to help households visualise the effects of whole-home electrification, and help installers to streamline the process from contact with the customer to contract-ready jobs.

Our technologies are designed to take the pain out of the heating installation lifecycle, from decision making, through installation, to ongoing monitoring and support. Our core platform provides tools to make the process easier for both householders and heating engineers, including home energy modelling, customer and installer portals and APIs, and AI support tools tuned to provide practical advice around home heating.

Your Role

Our Installer Portal is a vital component for presenting and interacting with heating design information, allowing our nationwide network of heating installers to drastically reduce the time from getting a lead to starting work. Slick, non-intrusive UI, designed with the user in mind is a must.

Your role will include:

  • Working with our Product / UX leads to understand and refine proposed UI elements relating to your work, helping to maintain a consistent user experience and style.
  • Developing end to end .NET MVC solutions, with a greater focus towards front end development.
  • Working within a team of .NET developers across a series of back end products
  • Supporting existing applications in production
  • Integrating our solutions with other core line of business applications

What we’re looking for

You will be strongly motivated by our mission to reduce household energy consumption and carbon emissions, and be curious about heating systems and energy technologies in general.

Communication and Interaction

  1. Be an excellent communicator with strong spoken and written English skills
  2. Have strong attention to detail
  3. Demonstrate experience of working well within a hybrid/remote team

Technical

  1. Be capable of delivering full stack solutions, including back office interfaces, demonstrating real world experience of:
    1. designing, implementing and deploying MVC .NET core solutions
    2. structuring / refactoring those applications for reusable components.
    3. strong js skills
    4. Leveraging Web Application UI Frameworks such as tabler, and js frameworks compatible with an MVC approach.
  2. Demonstrate experience of application security best practices
  3. Be used to interacting with product / UX owners to resolve design conflicts
  4. Have experience troubleshooting .NET solutions in production environments using a variety of techniques
  5. Show a track record of learning new skills and technologies

Technologies/Skills

Required: C#, dotnet core, ASPNET MVC, HTML, CSS, JS, Git/GithubDesirable: Entity Framework, TSQL, Visual Design/UX familiarity
